Radar Alerts v1.1 Release Notes
In this version of radar alerts, we've added the following features:
- The vehicle's GPS position is now updated once every 3 seconds, instead of once every 30 seconds
- Improved accuracy of the vehicle's position, estimated speed, estimated heading, and estimated relative distances for alerts.
- The radar display now shows the "warning cone", 45 degrees to the left and right of the vehicle
- When alerts are within 2 to 1 miles (3.2 - 1.2 km) and in the warning cone, they will appear yellow
- When alerts are within 1 mile (1.2 km) and in the warning cone, they will appear red and the screen will flash
- When the vehicle's speed exceeds 55 mph (75 km), the warning cone will narrow to 22.5 degrees to the left and right of the vehicle
- Alerts are now sorted by proximity starting with those located within the warning cone first, then all other alerts
- Response to changes in relative distance are now instant, when changing units
